FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
Q. Why aren’t you responding to the questions I ask?
A. We love when you send questions, comments, and suggestions. In fact, when possible, we will privately respond to all of your concerns. If you’re sending something on anonymous, don’t worry, we’ll still read it and consider it, but we probably won’t answer it because there is no option for a private response.
Q. Why do you have to respond privately?
A. We like to respond privately because it won’t clog the dashboards of our followers and it will keep our blog neat, clean, simple, and to the point. Unless a question is in dire need of answering (which doesn’t seem likely), it won’t show up on this blog.
Q. Where do all these pictures come from?
A. Some of the content on this blog is reblogged from other users, in which case you will see: (via username_of_person_we’ve_reblogged_this_from) or you will see someone else’s blog in the source bar. However, most of these are posted from We Heart It. In this case, there is a click-through link to the content’s We Heart It page, a “#we heart it” tag, and sometimes the original page in the search bar (this seems to be automatically added at times when we post, and sometimes not. We’re not quite sure about why).
Q. Why do you have a submit button?
A. The submit button is on our page in case anyone wants to submit some of their own pictures/videos of food. Full credit will be given.
Q. Can I request content to this blog without submitting?
A. You most certainly can! Send us an ask telling us what foods you would like to see more of and we’ll certainly keep it in mind when posting!
Q. Can I become a moderator/administrator of this blog?
A. At the moment, we believe we have enough people to run the blog. If we ever need more, however, we’ll be sure to inform our followers! If that time ever comes, we’ll choose someone who we believe would be good for the job.
Q. How often do you post new material?
A. Nearly everything is put into the queue, which automatically posts around every thirty minutes, though the timing is usually not exact. We try and fill the queue up as often as possible with as many posts as we can to keep up a consistent stream of tasty treats. If we’re busy and unable to fill the queue, our apologies in advanced.
Q. Will you follow me back or promote me?
A. We cannot follow you back, as “foodtastesgood” is not a primary blog. We’d love to check out your blogs anyway, and maybe one of us staff members will follow you using our personal tumblr. We also do not do promotions, for very much the same reason that we do not publicly answer questions. We’d rather not clog our followers’ dashboards, and we would like to keep the blog clean and consistent.
